4th Grade Program

The 4th Graders did a super job on their program "We Are Thankful." Many of them had to learn lines and everyone sang well.

Thank you 4th Grade for reminding us of our history and of all we have to be thankful for.

Nutcracker Ballet

The 4th Graders studied about the Nutcracker this week prior to their trip to Abilene to see the Nutcracker performed by the Abilene Ballet Theatre. They read the story, heard the music and then Mrs. Fields visited thier class. Mrs. Fields told them about the art of ballet and had the students try to dance. Thanks Mrs. Fields for a wonderful experience.

5th Grade did a super job on their Barn Dance program. Thanks parents and kids for working so hard.

5th Grade will be starting recorders soon. Bring your $6.00 ASAP.

4th Grade will be presenting the next program. We have already begun to work on the music. It will be a Thanksgiving Program on November 12.

3rd Grade will have the Christmas program so you have a few more weeks before we will start work on that.

Kindergarten-2nd Grade are singing Fall songs.

Pumpkin Patch Visit! We will be going to the Pumkin Patch the end of the month.

Week 1 is Done!

What a great first week! 5th Graders are working on their program. 3rd Graders had "sword fights" with boomwhackers while learning rhythms. 1st Graders learned clapping to "Miss Mary Mack".

Recorders

We will be sending home notes soon about the recorders. They will be $6 or less. We are still looking for the best deal. You will get the recorder, a book and a cover for the recorder. At the end of the year you may take them home.

Brand New Year

It's time to get back to school. I am excited about using this blog to share with your family all the fun things we do in Music.
Our first week we will learn a song and play instruments with it. The song is: "Brand New Year"
